| Name of Died People in Amarnath Yatra:- Raj Kumar (51) of Punjab and Kunal Daramveer (26) of Gujarat died at Sonamarg and Sangam, respectively, along the shortest Batal route in Ganderbal district this morning. Four pilgrims - Bhai Patel (57) of Gujarat, Mahesh (38) of Karnataka, Mohan Dass (54) of Rajasthan and Sampat Lal (55) of Maharashtra - died at the holy cave and Sheshnag along the traditional 42-km Pahalgam track in Anantnag district late last night, officials said. They said a Muslim porter and three other unidentified pilgrims were found dead at different halting stations on the twin routes early yesterday. The 46-day annual yatra started on June 29 and so far 3.25 lakh pilgrims have paid their obeisance at the cave shrine, housing the naturally formed 'ice-shivlingam'. While 12,365 pilgrims preferred Baltal route, another batch of 10,290 pilgrims were allowed from Nunwan base camp in Pahalgam, the sources said adding the yatra was progressing smoothly. | |

BSNL Mobile service for Amarnath Yatris
The BSNL has provided mobile coverage on the entire route of the Yatra for BSNL mobile customers from Jammu &Kashmir and those from other states having BSNL or MTNL post-paid connections with roaming facility.
Both the routes of Baltaal and Pahalgaon, including Sheshnag, Panchatarini and the holy cave, have now complete mobile coverage, the release issued by the BSNL AGM said.
The BSNL has also made special arrangements at registration and base camps to provide prepaid mobile service for `yatris' carrying identity cards with valid address proof and passport size photographs.

Registration For Amaranth yatra 2011 Starts From 10 th May 2011
- Registration process for Shri Amarnath Yatra 2011 Starts from 10th May 2011 for both Baltal and Pahalgam Routes through 149 Bank Branches situated in the Country.
- Online Registration is also available for yatris,yatris can apply online through this link of JK Bank Website
- Yatris registration for Amaranth Yatra 2011 can be done from 3 banks viz JK Bank(121 Branches),YES Bank(24 Branches) and 4 District Cooperative Banks.The List of Branches of all these Banks can be checked from this Link of Amaranth yatra Website
- Registration will be done on First Come First Serve Basis.
- The Registration Counters at the Designated Branches of the JK Bank (121), YES Bank (24) and the District Cooperative Banks (4) in the State of Bihar shall remain open from 3 PM to 6 PM on all working week days and 1 PM to 4 PM on all working Saturdays during the period of Registration, upto 10th August, 2011.
- Online Registration for Amarnath yatra 2011 Is made more interactive this year.It was clarified that the Yatra Permit generated through on-line internet based system will no longer be treated as provisional. Consequently, it will not require to be got validated at the Registration Counters at Jammu or Srinagar, as was required to be done during Yatra 2010
- Yatris can register Online through JK Bank website with the payment of only Rs15 Per Yatri.Online facility is particularly helpful for those devotees who could not reach Designated Bank branches
- Yatra Permit generated through online Registration is mandatory and Yatris will be allowed for yatra from Base camps only if they are in possession of Yatra permit for Amarnath yatra 2011
- Helicopter facility is also provided to yatris on each of the two routes viz. Baltal-Panjtarni–Baltal and Pahalgam–Panjtarni-Pahalgam
